Rosport-Mompach

The recently fusioned municipality of Rosport-Mompach is surrounded by meadow orchards and forests and has preserved its original rural character. The ancient part of the commune of Rosport, with its approximately 800 inhabitants, is situated directly on the loop of the river Sûre. The Girsterklaus chapel, the Tudor Castle with park and the interactive Tudor Museum about electricity and accumulators represent the cultural highlights in and around the village. Luxembourg's only natural sparkling mineral water spring is located close to the village, and there is also an adventure playground and a swimming pool at the camp site.

The ancient part of the commune of Mompach is mostly situated on a plateau. Especially Mompach and Herborn have preserved their historic architectural heritage. There is another camp site in Born, idyllically set on the Sûre. The orchid trail in the nature reserve Deiwelskopp near Moersdorf is a special highlight. A number of hiking trails, for example in the natural forest reserve of Hierberbësch, attract many hikers.
